Role Definition:
This role will lead a team of 3 to 5 members providing skills and resources focused on supporting the continuous improvement of operations and manufacturing processes across the RIOP Global manufacturing footprint. Role will work closely with the facilities to prioritize requests, coordinate resources and monitor initiative progress. Frequent travel to facilitate hands-on implementation and improvement activities is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Identifying, replicating and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
2. Reviewing and prioritizing incoming resource requests. Identifying correct team members to support request and maintaining deployment schedule.
3. Development and training of team members that perform and support the improvement and replication projects.
Skill Descriptors:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
