Job summary Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to work in a leadership role, at Forston Clinic, Dorchester we invite you to join us to build and lead a team of staff delivering occupational therapy, and exercise instruction across the adult and older persons mental health wards. This unique opportunity will enable you to continue to work clinically as an occupational therapist whilst leading a team to deliver excellent, high quality therapy services. You will have the opportunity to lead a QI project to look at the value of a model of working that integrates inpatient and community OT services for people admitted to Forston as part of the Access Wellbeing transformation. Provide specialist occupational therapy using evidence-based client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention with people with Mental Health needs and their care. To be responsible for the planning, developing and evaluating of the Therapy provision in line with service developments. To work as a member of the leadership team to deliver high quality care representing the therapies service and staff and leading on projects where required. To develop and establish relationships with Access Wellbeing Services and other services relevant to supporting a persons recovery and discharge from hospital. To actively participate in quality improvement projects and service evaluations to support the development of the team and/or celebrate positive practice.
