Job Description
Mission
This role acts as the main payroll expert accountable and responsible to optimize payroll operations, systems and processes to ensure excellence in service and value delivery while maintaining compliance at all levels. It requires a close collaboration with Payroll Team Lead and the extensive team to have proper controls, process maps and SOPs, looking at ways to improve and digitize them to gain on better compliance, process efficiency or employee experience. This position also acts as main responsible to maintain regular connects with payroll vendors and system providers to work for better ways of manage them and secure their compliance with our processes and policies. It is also the main accountable to act as SME for payroll projects, or any other project or initiative that impact on payroll operations. It reports directly to the HRS Zone Lead, having a functional line to the payroll team lead. It should maintain a close connection to the regional/global payroll network and SME to get and implement best practices into the zone.
Key responsibilities
* Payroll Projects: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and main point of contact for any payroll project, or initiative/project impacting payroll operations. Liaising with the extensive payroll team or key stakeholders to ensure that process/systems are adjusted to be compliant and aligned with change.
* Service Excellence: Supports the payroll team and its leader to provide best-in-class and achieve the goals and KPIs. Always looking for potential service improvements to be more effective, digital and provide a better employee experience.
* EX & Process Optimisation: Main responsible to drive impact and optimal departmental processes that are regularly reviewed and aligned with compliance, improved and maximise via CI, digitization, automation and always having our employees and managers centricity. This position should work with payroll team lead to ensure change management whenever needed to drive such process changes internally.
* Dare to Disrupt: Responsible for leveraging external best practices and promoting innovation to drive continuous improvement to internal efficiency via digital solutions and optimal EX - and works with the team leader to implement them in the zone. Looks proactively on ways to utilize the systems to optimize their possibilities.
* Acts as payroll or project SME with stakeholders within UK&I business and functions on any project that can impact project operations. It is also the SPOC for our payroll systems, their adoption and apply change management to ensure they are utilized and understood by employees, managers and HRBPs. Reports regularly on time attendance systems utilization, setting up actions to increase it.
* Main SME and responsible to prepare and line-up Payroll campaign activities to be carried out by the extensive team in the appropriate timelines and ensuring system readiness: HR rewards campaigns, TYE, carryover, holiday buy/sell, etc.
* Collaboration with the HR Community (local/regional/global) and relevant stakeholder to identify initiatives, projects that could impact payroll operations and create a roadmap to secure capacity and execution planning with the Payroll team leader and HRS Zone Lead.
Experience
* Several years experience in international payroll with a multi-national company.
* Hands-on experience in driving international change and technology projects (ideally with experience of Payroll Project - system and MS model - implementation).
* Experience of working with HR systems and payroll is required.
* Experience of operating within a fast-paced, dynamic and results-oriented shared services environment.
