We are looking to recruit personable, flexible, and motivated support workers to assist our qualified staff in delivering care to our patients. You will be involved in personal care and addressing the psychological needs of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. It is important to be caring and attentive, with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships. Teamwork is essential as you will work alongside qualified nurses and staff from other professions. Please note that this role may involve challenging behaviour.
Your new role
You will work closely with residents to manage their needs, including some personal care activities. You will also engage in activities to promote and build self-esteem. Typical shifts are split shifts or long days, from 8am to 8pm or 8am to 5pm. Currently, we have vacancies in Llantwit Major and St Athans.
What you'll need to succeed
* At least 6 months of experience in social care
* PBM training
* Removal training for one of the settings
* Driving is essential for this role
