A nurse position has arisen at our thriving specialist adult eating disorder inpatient service in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Our team is committed to delivering safe and innovative care. In this role, your main duties will include the following:
1. Nurse in charge role on shift, ensuring the safe and effective running of the shift on an inpatient unit.
2. Primary and Secondary nurse role on care teams for patients, offering a key worker role and regular carer liaison.
3. Opportunity to participate in facilitating the therapeutic group programme.
4. Administering medication.
5. Supporting patients at snack and meal times each day.
6. Supporting and delivering Naso Gastric (NG) tube feeding (training provided).
7. Phlebotomy (training provided).
8. Supervisor role for support workers/students.
9. Working earlies, lates (or long day) and night shifts, on a 24 hours / 365 days inpatient service.
10. Liaising with professionals from community teams, other inpatient services including general hospital.

We are a multidisciplinary team with a dispersed leadership model ensuring that nursing is at the core of patient care. We offer a comprehensive supervision and preceptorship programme for trained nurses. There are opportunities to learn CBTe and DBT based skills, ensuring that nursing professional development is at the forefront of evidence based practice.
You will have the opportunity to undertake training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-ED) as well as co-facilitating groups that you have an interest in, such as DBT or creative art. There will be regular support groups and teaching sessions on a wide range of topics to enhance your knowledge and experience.
