Job Description:
The role:
1. Build & maintain relationships with customers to make sales and increase profitability.
2. Encourage repeat purchases and brand loyalty by adding value to transactions, providing the right solutions alongside excellent customer service.
3. Respond to questions and queries both internally and from customers (telephone, email, video calling, face to face).
4. Prepare quotations – liaise with external teams, technical teams, and commercial management where required.
5. Proactively follow up on quotations.
6. Negotiate with customers to secure orders.
7. Liaise with other departments pre and post-sale (including finance, operations, technical, and design).
The successful candidate:
Experience of processing orders and/or producing quotes in the building/construction industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
Candidates should have:
1. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grades A-C.
2. An enthusiastic can-do attitude and the ability to work on their own initiative.
3. Methodical and organised with the ability to prioritise.
4. Computer literate (particularly Microsoft Office and Dynamics CRM).
5. Accurate with good attention to detail.
6. Able to manage and respond to multiple issues at once whilst meeting deadlines.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable skills and attributes:
1. Experience of working in a construction or manufacturing business.
2. Proven track record of account management and converting quotes to orders.
