We have an exciting opportunity for a commercial specialist in contract management to join the Commercial Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Our Commercial team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
You will be responsible for the contract and commercial management of the Wastewater Services Agreement (WwSA) and other infrastructure-related frameworks and contracts, encompassing an annual spend of approximately £60m. As the WwSA is governed by an NEC4 Term Service Contract, a working knowledge of standard forms of contract such as NEC and Construction Law is desirable.
The frameworks cover a range of services and goods, including repair and maintenance of the wastewater network, service restoration, repairs and maintenance, and special projects like proactive network enhancement and support services.
You will provide commercial advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring robust contract management processes and procedures are developed, along with the production of accessible and accurate framework reports. Playing a key role in contract management at Yorkshire Water, you will focus on performance commitment delivery, customer experience, and overall business reputation, working collaboratively to outperform.
Where you fit in:
Work as part of the Category Management function/procurement supporting Customer Field Services.
Provide key Commercial/Quantity Surveying support to applications for payment.
Understand and work to provide Forecast assurance
Deliver change control and contract administration assurance
Implement Supply chain management and procurement support
What skills & qualifications you will need:
Wide ranging experience in commercial contract management in a commercial environment.
Be skilled in managing multiple contracts and frameworks and implementing change to contracts.
Strong supplier relationship management (SRM) skills and experience.
Knowledge of the administration associated with construction contracts.
Experience of managing complex KPIs across multiple frameworks.
Ability to identify, quantify and control commercial risk
Commercial assurance of financial and contractual aspects?of works.
Dispute resolution skills
You will also benefit from having:
Knowledge associated with developing commercial processes and procedures
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience in water / utilities (or wider infrastructure sector)
Quantity Surveying qualification/experience.
