Job Title : Senior Digital Product Owner / Business Analyst Reporting to : Director of Sales, Marketing & Digital Place of work: Head Office, Huntingdon Hours of work: Mon- Fri 0800-1700 Pur pose of the Role The Senior Digital Product Owner / Business Analyst is a pivotal position responsible for defining and executing the digital product vision while ensuring alignment with overarching business goals. This role combines deep business analysis expertise with Product Owner responsibilities—managing product backlogs, shaping product roadmaps, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. The role also involves mentoring less experienced colleagues, ensuring continued excellence in both product management and business analysis disciplines. Key Accountabilities Product Ownership Product Vision & Strategy : Define and communicate a clear digital product vision aligned with organisational objectives; maintain a strategic product roadmap. Backlog Management : Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring that features and requirements deliver maximum value. Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with senior stakeholders to capture and translate business needs into actionable product features and user stories. Sprint & Release Planning : Work closely with development teams to plan and manage sprints, refine user stories, and oversee release schedules. Quality & Acceptance : Define acceptance criteria, review completed work, and ensure products meet business requirements and high-quality standards. Business Analysis Requirement Gathering: Lead requirements gathering for Digital projects Enterprise Analysis : Conduct high-level, enterprise-wide analysis to inform strategic decisions and ensure that digital solutions align with broader business goals. Digital Solution Strategy : Develop solution approaches and strategic recommendations that address evolving business needs. Executive Stakeholder Management : Lead engagement with executive stakeholders, gathering strategic requirements and shaping project roadmaps accordingly. Process Optimisation : Guide the analysis and redesign of business processes for increased efficiency and value creation. Change Management : Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new solutions. Leadership & Mentoring Knowledge Leadership : Act as a subject matter expert in both product ownership and business analysis, promoting best practices across the organisation. Mentorship : Coach and mentor business analysts and product team members, fostering professional development and enhancing overall team capability. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Business Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, and BI Analysts to ensure consistent methodology and knowledge sharing. Financial & Non-Financial Accountabilities Financial Contribute to budgeting activities for initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions align with the product vision. Manage and justify product-related investments, providing clear business cases for backlog items with significant resource requirements. Non-Financial Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of digital product strategy and progress. Lead multiple product and/or project streams simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources effectively. Education / Qualification Degree in IT, Business, or a related field. Business Analysis Certifications (e.g., IIBA, BCS) are highly preferred. Agile / Scrum Certifications (e.g., CSPO, PSPO) strongly desired, or equivalent experience managing product backlogs in an Agile environment.
