Marston Green Infant Academy is seeking to appoint a Child & Family Support Worker to provide support for families experiencing challenging situations/circumstances.
This may include supporting parents with issues such as family bereavement or changes in family circumstances and supporting parents to access external support services. Another part of this role will be to manage and promote attendance; to recognise attendance challenges and develop appropriate strategies to support families.
Experience of having previously worked in this role would be advantageous; however, current and relevant experience working with children and families in a school setting is essential.
Applicants should have excellent verbal and communication skills, the ability to use ICT systems effectively, show good initiative and be proactive. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field is essential.
Hours of work: 32.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.00pm term time only.
Actual salary: £23,785 - £27,202
