The role will also be responsible for providing training to customers that require this. Typical customers in West Yorkshire consist of food and beverage companies such as distilleries and breweries, pharmaceutical, hospitals and wastewater. The training in this role will be extensive and you will spend a large amount of time with senior service engineers and service leaders to learn the products and engineering aspects of the role. They will also fund relevant training courses such as safe isolation, electrical 101 and working at height as well as investing in your development through the business. Regular product training will also be given with regular opportunity to spend time with the wider team.
The successful Field Service Engineer must have a mechanical or electrical qualification and may have worked with steam technology or boiler systems however this is not a requirement. Closely related industries include areas such as flow control, valves, actuators, pumps, instrumentation, automation, combustion, heat exchangers, heat transfer, control systems, water treatment, compressors or compressed air, HVAC and related products but any mechanical engineering experience will be considered.
This role is open to service engineers, engineering technicians, maintenance engineers, engineering specialists, technical support and related engineering roles. The position is field based and will be required to travel most days to customer locations across West and North Yorkshire.
