What you'll be doing As an AP Administrator for Hachette UK, you will be a key part of our AP Team, dealing with a variety of activities, ranging from making sure supplier invoices are processed correctly, ensuring suppliers records are accurate and up to date, working with a colleagues across the business to resolve supplier invoice issues, and ensuring our various suppliers large and small are paid correctly and on-time. Key Responsibilities: Invoice processing – ensure supplier invoices are processed and verified accurately using an automated invoice capture system. Workflow processing – use automated workflows to successfully resolve invoice issues with various stakeholders across the business. Payments - preparing and processing weekly payments, in multiple currencies, to suppliers located throughout the world. Supplier data - maintain master data and manage communications with suppliers regarding invoices, payments, bank details and issues. Reporting – preparation of reports related to accounts payable activities, including outstanding invoices and cash flow forecasts. Reconciliation - reconcile supplier accounts and resolve ledger issues to ensure supplier data is up to date. Support – collaborate with colleagues across the finance function to ensure proper coding of expenses and compliance with budgetary guidelines. Who we are looking for GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required. IT literacy, including knowledge of accounting software and Excel. SAP knowledge is ideal, but not essential. Prior experience of working in AP, or any Finance role, is beneficial. Someone with strong organisation skills, as we process lots of invoices and deal with many suppliers. Someone with excellent communication skills, including the ability to relay information clearly. Ability to build effective relationships with team-mates, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
