Well Established Independent Travel Agency in the Stockport area is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to work in their branch team to create bespoke itineraries for the regular, repeat, and referred clientele. This Travel Consultant role is Monday - Friday only, so if you are a Travel Agent who loves travel but is keen to move away from weekend work, then this could be your dream role. This would suit a Travel Consultant with experience of tailor-making or of working in a Tour Operator with a great all-round worldwide knowledge. Salary is dependent on experience but above average for the Travel Industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Creating a wide variety of luxury itineraries to Worldwide destinations by tailor-making.
2. Liaising with clients over the phone, offering exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
3. Itineraries could include luxury hotel stays, beach holidays, twin centres, and excursions.
4. Converting enquiries to bookings and following up to ensure the itinerary runs smoothly.
5. Building rapport and your client base with repeat business and referrals.
6. Office hours 09:00-5:30pm Mon-Fri - NO WEEKEND WORK.
7. This client will offer part-time hours (4 days if needed).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The successful candidate will already have travel industry experience, preferably from a tour operator due to the bespoke nature of the itineraries arranged. You will be passionate about travel, having travelled yourself, and will have experience of tailor-making. Securing sales through building rapport and offering exceptional service is key.
THE PACKAGE:
In return for your hard work, an excellent basic salary is offered in the region of £24k pa up to £28k pa dependent on experience (top end would need GDS and solid experience), along with various benefits and familiarisation trip opportunities.
