Job summary The Dorset County Hospital Therapy Team is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable team player to join the Therapies Department as a Senior Therapy Assistant. The successful candidate will mainly work within our inpatient therapy teams. This may be in the following areas; Elderly Care, Orthopaedics, Stroke and Neuro, Respiratory and may be on a static or a rotational basis. Experience in healthcare essential, ideally as a therapy assistant. Basic IT and administrative skills required. Car drivers only as part of role will be supporting home visits. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will assist in treating a wide variety of clinical conditions and work alongside both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, delivering rehabilitation and assisting in the safe and timely discharge of patients. We provide supervision within the team and have training provided for therapy assistants. You are encouraged to develop through appraisals and Continual Professional Development.
