The Community Dental Service are looking to recruit on a part time basis to 0.4 WTE Senior Dental Officer (Band B) to commence as soon as possible on a permanent contract. This post will be based in Central Clinic in the centre of Swansea within the Primary and Community Care Services Delivery Unit but the successful candidate may be required to operate in a range of locations across Swansea, Neath port Talbot and Bridgend. This is a key post in enabling SBUHB to deliver pathways for paediatric dentistry serving the Health Boards' population. Main duties of the job The main duties are to provide special care dentistry services to the vulnerable adults and children seen by the CDS. The post holder will also be required to assist in the management of the service. The post holder will lead, develop and deliver paediatric services based in the Community including screening of children referred into primary and secondary care based GA services. The post will contributes to clinical audit in line with the Health Board's policy, to participate in the teaching of various groups and to undertake any associated administrative duties associated with the care of patients seen within the service.
