Are you a dynamic, organised and innovative HR Business Partner who wants to play a key role in supporting our workforce through the challenges of Local Government Reorganisation?
Who?
We need an additional Interim HR Business Partner on a two-year fixed term contract basis to strengthen our team during this significant period of change. We need someone ideally with previous experience in Local Government reorganisation, or at least significant experience of change management and TUPE.
What will you be doing?
* The role will support a number of Senior leaders, leading in areas such as performance management, change management, absence management, workforce/succession planning and leadership development.
* Evaluate and adapt the local delivery of HR services to ensure that they remain relevant and responsive to the changing needs of the business.
* Provide expert knowledge and advice to managers on a wide range of HR issues, such as absence management, discipline and change management.
* Equip managers to maximise their people resources; work with them to effectively plan, adapt/develop as necessary, in line with workforce planning and recruitment.
* Provide advice and guidance to managers on strategies, plans, policies and terms and conditions.
* Support management in leadership development, advising, guiding and coaching to identify gaps in training and support management teams to develop capabilities and increase their confidence and the ability to engage, develop and manage their staff.
* Contribute to the development of all HR strategies, plans, policies and processes.
* Support in HR Project work across the department.
What do you need?
* You will need to be an experienced HR Business Partner, ideally from within a public sector organisation.
* You will have extensive experience of supporting leaders in change management, preferably in the context of Local Government Reorganisation.
* You will also have experience in strategy development, complex ER case management and HR project work.
* You will be Level 7 CIPD qualified or working towards.
* Advanced IT and communication skills.
* Exceptional organisational, time management skills with an eye for detail.
* Proven track record in managing and balancing complex and changing priorities.
