Founded by a passionate cyclist, CAMS' team shares this enthusiasm, with all our Business Development Managers coming from the industry or professional circuits. As part of Anexo Group PLC, we manage the entire claims process for cyclists, providing comprehensive support from start to finish.
Your role
As a Business Development Manager at CAMS, you'll play a crucial role in driving our business forward by developing new relationships and maintaining existing ones. Your focus will be on engaging with cycle retailers, industry brands, and professionals to raise awareness and grow our business.
This is a field-based sales role, equipped with a company car and bicycle, allowing you to visit potential clients and partners. You'll be the face of CAMS in the region, helping local bike shops deliver our unique 5-star service to their customers and ensuring cyclists receive the support they need after an accident. This role offers significant job satisfaction, knowing you're helping cyclists access the justice they deserve.
This is a performance-driven role with industry-leading commission, bonus, and benefits schemes.
Your responsibilities
1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting viable prospects.
2. Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the cycling industry and our unique services.
3. Take ownership of the entire sales process including generating leads, presenting our service, negotiation and securing business.
4. Develop and nurture a strong network of industry contacts to consistently achieve and succeed targets.
5. Maintain a deep understanding of our services by collaborating closely with our trainers and colleagues.
6. Represent CAMS at events to network, create leads and generate new business.
Essential skills
1. 1+ years sales experience in the sports or cycling industry.
2. A passion for cycling in any form.
3. Ability to communicate at all levels in an influential and persuasive manner.
4. Strong commercial acumen.
5. Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
6. Excellent selling skills built on trust and reliability.
7. A full UK driving license.
Desirable skills
1. In depth knowledge of the cycle industry in your area.
2. Knowledge and contacts in the cycling racing scene in your area.
3. Knowledge of the cycling accident management industry.
4. Knowledge of the insurance industry and processes.
5. Knowledge of the civil justice system.
