What you'll do as a Goods-in/ Mechanical Inspector:
This role will combine 2 key responsibilities:
Goods-in Inspector:
* Inspect and verify all incoming goods, materials, and components against specifications, drawings, and documentation.
* Ensure that the correct quality standards, part numbers, and certifications are in place.
* Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformities with received items.
* Maintain accurate records and support inventory and logistics teams to resolve quality issues.
Mechanical Inspector:
* Perform detailed inspections of mechanical components and assemblies, using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometres, callipers, CMM, 3D Scanner).
* Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure components meet the required tolerances and design standards.
* Measure mechanical parts to confirm that they meet functionality and safety criteria.
* Document inspection results, identify defects, and report non-conformances, providing support to engineering teams for corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for all mechanical parts.
What we need from you:
* Experience: Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in mechanical inspection or goods-in processes within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using mechanical inspection tools and equipment (e.g., callipers, micrometres, height gauges).
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify defects, discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members and suppliers.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and foster good working relationships.
