KITCHEN PORTER, required for our client, a hotel located in the Betchworth, Surrey area. Immediate start.
Live in is available for this full -time role. If you do not require live in accommodation as you live in the local area, transport will be desirable ideally due to the shift work and location. Full time role available or part-time hours may also be available.
The aim of the role of Kitchen Porter is to keep the kitchen clean and in order.
Job responsibilities:
* The kitchen porter is required to wash up all crockery and cutlery (using the cutlery polisher) ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and clear at all times.
* Keep on top of the kitchen cleaning duties ensuring the surfaces and all kitchen equipment is clean and hygienic for the chefs use
* Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
* Collect and wash up pots and pans.
* Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
* Unload food and equipment deliveries.
* Keep the storeroom organized.
* Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitized
This role will require that you work week-ends on a rota. This is a hands on role. Some basic food preparation to assist the chefs may be required at times also.
The salary for this opportunity of Kitchen Porter is given as £25,000 / per annum / 40 hour week. Live in is available for this full -time role.
