This is a hybrid working arrangement where you will be able to work from home provided you can attend their Telford office a minimum of 2/3 days a week and attend court to represent their clients as and when required.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all aspects of the business while running a small family law caseload.
2. Lead a team of solicitors, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
3. Develop and implement business strategies for long-term success and growth of the firm.
4. Manage and motivate a team of solicitors, paralegals, and administrative staff.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, staff, managers, and key decision-makers.
6. Monitor and manage the financial performance of the firm, including budgets and billing.
7. Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
8. Oversee marketing and business development initiatives.
9. Represent the firm in negotiations and other business-related activities.
10. Ensure all team members receive appropriate training and support.
11. Set performance goals and provide regular feedback.
12. Support business development initiatives including networking and marketing events.
13. Provide expert legal advice and representation in family law matters.
14. Manage and oversee cases from inception to completion.
15. Draft legal documents including agreements, court papers, and other relevant documents.
16. Keep up to date with relevant legal developments.
17. Ensure adherence to the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct.
The Candidate
A qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 10 years PQE and at least 5 years in a leadership position. For the right candidate, CEO experience will be trained only if you have a strong, proven track record of excellence as a Senior Family Law Solicitor.
You have the ability and confidence to work with no supervision. You will be experienced at dealing with all manner of family law matters and be fully confident and competent at dealing with financial remedy cases and doing your own advocacy from start to FDR. Tenacious by nature, you will have a natural willingness to rethink current strategies and standards for the greater good of the team/firm/clients.
You take immense pride in customer care and are laser focused on service standards, recognising the importance of fine-tuning your skills as you strive for excellence over perfectionism, in order to continually exceed the quality of your work. You will work well under pressure - often to tight deadlines - and be able to prioritise workloads at any given time.
