As Store Manager, you’ll ensure your store is an inspiring place to shop, offering customers an amazing choice and friendly, knowledgeable service. You will lead and motivate a close-knit team, supporting, training, and developing them with the tools needed to exceed sales and profit targets through excellent customer service. Remember, sales are driven by service, not hard selling. An interest in creativity or interior design is beneficial, as you'll help customers visualize their projects and bring them to life using in-store technology.
Your responsibilities include creating the business plan, developing your team, and increasing sales margins. You will manage all aspects of your store and continuously seek improvements as an individual, team, and store. We seek ambitious Store Managers who want their store and team to excel — that’s the drive we value.
Every day varies: one moment you might be getting creative, the next assisting with traders. Tasks also include lifting tiles and managing deliveries.
Who you are
You have retail experience with full P&L responsibility and a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and strong financial results. Sales come through service, which is central to our approach at Topps Tiles.
You are commercially aware, with the business acumen to stay ahead of competitors and differentiate your store. You are a proactive, leading role model who drives performance through leadership, coaching, and effective people management.
What we’ll do for you
In a culture that recognizes hard work and rewards results, you’ll benefit from uncapped personal commission and a company bonus scheme, sharing in our success and increasing your base salary.
Additional benefits include a generous staff discount, Share Save scheme, pension, life assurance, health insurance, holiday allowance increasing with service, and various other perks. We are committed to internal promotion, supporting your career development with tailored plans and training opportunities. Flexibility to cover store hours, including weekends, is required, but there is no evening work or work on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day.
