Position: Mechanical Engineering Technician
You will play a crucial role in their Engineering department, ensuring the seamless operation of their facilities.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure prompt completion of all work orders for Planned maintenance, Reactive response, Specialist sub-contract work orders, and remedial work orders
2. Provide Routine and Specialised Engineering Maintenance and breakdown support to a specific hospital site
3. Offer competent Technical, Health, Safety, and Environmental support & assistance as required and act as an exemplar of company policies and procedures
4. Provide training, mentoring, and hands-on assistance to any additional Site-based Technicians or Engineering Assistants
5. Provide Engineering support and advice to the Local Hospital managers as required
6. Demonstrate a can-do culture based on exemplary engineering standards in an environment of open and honest integrity
7. Help build and develop a strong team ethos
8. Work at any of our clients hospitals within the cluster to cover for engineering absence or to supplement labour, attend meetings, or provide specialist advice or service to the site
Requirements:
1. Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at an appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card required.
2. City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering essential
3. Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required is essential
4. Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline essential
5. Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, and ACOPs
6. Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within Hospital buildings
7. Demonstrated high level of organization & time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities
8. Sound fault-finding techniques and ability to read drawings
9. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems
10. Must have a mechanical engineering background and at least 3 years of experience, preferably gained in a hospital environment but not essential
