The role To be the face of the packaging compliance team delivering a high level of customer service to existing customers, ensuring a positive retention record is maintained and opportunities are maximised. To build strong, long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with customers through the proactive understanding of their needs and requirements, and support with their packaging compliance obligations. You can read more information about the packaging compliance and plastic tax regulations by following the below links: • Packaging Compliance: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/extended-producer-responsibility-for-packaging-report-packaging-data • Plastic Tax: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/plastic-packaging-tax The responsibilities (there are more) • Maintain and develop relationships with existing packaging compliance members, ensuring regular contact and providing support in line with their needs. • Be a primary point of contact for packaging customer queries and requests, ensuring a positive retention record. • Understand and interpret packaging compliance legislation in context of members’ business activities. • Identify and optimise cross-selling opportunities within the existing membership base through exploratory conversations. • Conduct onsite customer meetings to build relationships with packaging customers and support their needs. • Ensure timely data submissions for packaging customers requesting outstanding documents, data and responding to queries as required. • Administrative support including updating of customer details, completing workflows and quality checks. You will be committed to delivering excellent customer service, proactively engaging with customers to understand and meet their needs. You will be proficient with Microsoft Office, and have a logical and methodical approach to managing your workload efficiently. You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively. The role is fast paced, so you should be prepared to think on your feet, be adaptable, open to change when business needs require and able to absorb new information quickly and effectively. To thrive in this role, you will be passionate about developing long-lasting customer relationships and excited to work for a business for good. You must have a strong work ethic, being an outgoing and confident communicator, with the ability to meet internal and external deadlines. You will have a ‘muck in’ approach to teamwork, being flexible and highly resilient. A UK driving licence will be required to carry out on site customer visits. We require all members of staff to work from the office 3 days a week, therefore living within commuting distance to Skipton should be considered when applying.
