What you’ll do
Please note this role can be based either in Newbury or London.
As the Public Cloud Technical Authority, your main responsibility will be to design and maintain public cloud blueprints to deliver standardised reusable patterns. You will assess new technologies and influence the internal product development roadmap to introduce new services for AWS & GCP. Furthermore, you will be responsible to consult on security and connectivity best practises along with supporting internal Consultancy and Technical design forums, ensuring best practise principals are followed.
Key responsibilities:
* Design, develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, patterns, and templates
* Promote and champion use of reusable code/modules and API capabilities to drive automation
* Provide technical design, guidance, and consultancy to support transformation of existing on-prem services to public cloud
* Drive adoption and implement best practice for cloud connectivity and security standards
* Ensure HA / DR / Resiliency best practices are applied to all architectural solutions and designs
Who you are
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience assessing customer workloads and technology landscape for Cloud transformation
* Proven knowledge of AWS & GCP platform and tools
* Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts and security compliance requirements
* Experience in deploying infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and IaC using DevOps tools such as HashiCorp Stack (Terraform, Packer), Jenkins and Docker
* Knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Function
* Experience in designing scalable cloud solutions leveraging latest capabilities
* Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
* Experience working in global organisations focused on delivering large programmes
Technical knowledge/qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Certification on AWS, GCP architecture
* Strong technical knowledge of Jira/Confluence, Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Swarm, Microservice architecture, Python, Ansible
