We are seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher to join a small, specialist setting that provides education to students aged 7-18 with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health). This role involves working with a small group of students with complex SEMH needs, where a tailored and flexible approach to teaching is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects.
- Provide individual support to students, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
- Effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
- Report safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures.
- Contribute to improving student outcomes and achieving high standards of learning.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching at the primary level.
- Experience working in a SEND or SEMH setting, with a strong understanding of SEMH needs.
- Patience, resilience, and empathy in supporting students with diverse emotional and educational challenges.
- Team Teach trained (preferred but not essential).
- A commitment to fostering a positive ethos and achieving the best outcomes for every student.
