The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving sales growth, securing new business, and expanding our brand presence. You’ll work closely with hospitality, retail, and foodservice providers to introduce GG’s Gelato to new markets while ensuring our existing clients receive top-tier service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth: Identify and secure new sales opportunities within the food industry, including restaurants, hotels, cafes, supermarkets, and food service providers.
2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service.
3. Sales & Negotiation: Proactively engage and convert potential customers, conducting product demonstrations and negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms of sale.
4. Market Strategy & Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to shape strategic sales decisions.
5. Collaboration & Campaigns: Work closely with internal teams to develop promotions, marketing campaigns, and innovative sales strategies.
6. Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and revenue forecasts.
7. Brand Representation: Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to increase GG’s Gelato’s visibility and market share.
Who We’re Looking For
Industry Expertise: Minimum 2 years of experience in the frozen food industry (ice cream, frozen desserts, or similar).
Sales & Business Development Skills: Proven track record in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
Food Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of food service providers, retail partnerships, and distribution channels (Frozen food knowledge preferred).
Networking & Relationship Management: Ability to build long-term partnerships with clients and distributors.
Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to present, influence, and close deals.
Good Tech Understanding: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Mobility: Full UK driving licence required.
