We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sheltered Housing Officer for the role LBS-008, who will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents living in sheltered accommodation. As a Sheltered Housing Officer, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to elderly individuals, ensuring their safety, welfare, and overall well-being. This position requires a proactive approach to engage with residents and understand their needs. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including health services, families, and community organizations, to create a supportive environment that enables our residents to maintain their independence while receiving the necessary care and services. You will also be responsible for managing day-to-day operations within the sheltered housing scheme, addressing any issues that arise, and coordinating activities and events that promote social interaction and engagement among residents. Responsibilities
Provide support and assistance to residents in sheltered housing schemes
Conduct regular welfare checks to ensure the health and safety of residents
Coordinate activities and events to promote social interaction among residents
Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and their families
Collaborate with external agencies and local services for additional support
Maintain accurate records of residents' needs and service delivery
Address issues and concerns raised by residents promptly and effectively
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role or working with elderly populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Empathy and a compassionate approach towards residents
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organizational and time management abilities
Familiarity with relevant housing legislation and regulations
A valid driver's license may be required for site visits if needed
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £21.00
