We’re looking for a Transport Compliance Manager to manage the full compliance of all our Home Delivery and In Home Repair Service Centres on all operational matters pertaining to the compliance with our Operator License Undertakings.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
* Taking prime accountability is for the creation and co-ordination of policies, procedures and daily tasks ensuring compliance with all relevant DVSA and ‘O’ license requirements at all sites, ensuring our centres and drivers are fully ‘O’ licence compliant and that all drivers hours and tachograph legislation is followed
* Managing the format of compliance checks and audits, on all transport related activities, vehicle contract hire and maintenance service providers
* Providing specialist support internally to colleagues on matters relating to maintenance queries and investigations
* Ensuring the transport operation operates legally, efficiently and cost effectively
* Monitoring each Site regularly to review the audited transport performance and compliance with KPIs
* Ensuring that all legislation is being adhered to in respect of EU driving hours, UK Domestic hours and the Drivers Working Time Directive and do not contravene the law
* Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and practices, such as DVSA policies and guidance’s and ensure this is cascaded within the business
* Managing a team of field based Divisional Transport Controllers, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews against objectives
You’ll need:
* CPC Transport Manager
* Experience of managing a commercial fleet and a good understanding of Operator Licence Undertakings
* An excellent understanding of the required standards of a best-in-class fleet operator
* A good understanding of maintenance contracts and issues relating to performance measures and legal compliance
* Ability to liaise and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure quality standards that ensure legal compliance in line with legislation, DVSA guidance and Operator Licensing are complied with, and changes implemented in a timely manner
* Excellent level of personal impact and influence at all times demonstrating focus on quality performance
* Excellent leadership, communication and people skills with the ability to plan organise and prioritise
