Job overview
We are recruiting for a Service Manager who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager within Acute Care Group, Unplanned Care Division.
We are looking for a Service Manager with a positive mindset who motivates and drives their teams forward with inspiration.
You will display outstanding management skills and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. You will be proactive and have the ability to motivate others, inspire ideas and foster supportive diverse teams. You will be able to display effective problem solving and decision-making skills in a pressured environment.

Main duties of the job
1. Assist the Head of Operations in meeting the Trust’s strategic and operational agenda.
2. Oversee day-to-day service management issues, liaising with departments and multi-disciplinary teams as required.
3. To deputise for the Head of Operations as required. The role requires an individual with a relevant professional qualification and experience in the management of people and services.
4. Promote the service and manage partnership relations with stakeholders working with other Service and Operational Managers.
5. Plan and oversee the implementation of the service improvement and delivery of service performance across all domains.
6. Ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards and contractual requirements ensuring regular reporting to all relevant stakeholder groups.

Qualifications
* University Degree or Equivalent experience
* Evidence of continuing development
Experience
* Staff management, including sickness absence, appraisals and performance
* NHS experience
* Financial and activity management
* Close working with senior managers and/or clinicians
Skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills
* Practical and creative approach to problem solving
* Ability to resolve conflicts
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage varied workload
