Senior Architectural Technician Job in Sevenoaks, Kent
Our client is an employee-owned architectural practice that now has a Senior Architectural Technician job available. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on residential development projects. The role will involve contributing to a variety of residential schemes, from large-scale housing developments to bespoke, high-end homes. This employee-owned, multidisciplinary practice, with two offices and over 20 staff, offers architecture, building surveying, and project management services. With a strong project pipeline, including residential developments and healthcare schemes, they are seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join their residential team.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Take a lead role in the running of projects
2. Projects would focus on residential developments on behalf of housing developers
3. Work on the production of technical drawing packages
4. Budget estimates, specify materials and products, write work descriptions, and prepare preliminary documents
5. Design presentation materials like boards and layouts
6. Ensure compliance with building regulations, NHBC guidelines, and other relevant laws
7. Assess risks and create Health and Safety Plans according to regulations
8. Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with drawings and issue instructions as needed
9. Organize drawings properly and back up computer files monthly
10. Measure existing buildings on-site as required for projects
Required Skills & Experience
1. Possess a minimum of 4 years in practice experience
2. Confident in the running of projects
3. Skilled in the use of Auto-CAD
4. Revit knowledge is advantageous
5. Current knowledge of UK regulations
6. Experience in UK based residential is essential
7. Developer led project experience is highly desirable
