Allen Lane is partnering with a government organisation to recruit an experienced Lead Commercial Manager to oversee its commercial team and manage all contracts within a high-profile programme. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership in the commercial management of all contracts, overseeing both pre- and post-contract activities.
* Lead and manage a team of Contract Managers and Commercial Officers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with senior commercial leadership to maximise value for money (VFM) and embed social value within procurement strategies.
* Oversee the delivery of contract performance reporting, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
* Influence and challenge budget holders, ensuring financial planning is supported by robust cost estimates and market intelligence.
Key Requirements:
* Degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, Business, or Law.
* Proven expertise in contract administration across professional services, construction, and corporate support contracts.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contract forms and their practical application.
* Up-to-date knowledge of Public Contract Regulations and government procurement frameworks.
* Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to produce detailed commercial reports and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
