I am currently supporting an NHS client in the search of 3 Physiotherapists to join them on a 3-month contract within the MSK department. The role will be focused on assessing and managing a mixed caseload of musculoskeletal outpatients referred by self-referral, primary care, First Contact Physiotherapists, and hospitals.
The responsibilities include:
1. Providing a comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service for adult patients referred for assessment/treatment within the Trust, delivered in health centres and GP surgeries.
2. Playing an active part in the MSK Service, providing team leadership and support, and participating in service-based initiatives and activities, including the supervision, training, and teaching of junior staff, students, and assistants.
3. Being involved in clinical mentorship, supervision, and teaching of more junior staff (Band 6 and 5 Physiotherapists and Band 4 and 3 Assistants), and participating in PDRs of lower banded clinicians.
4. Being responsible for day-to-day risk assessment, clinic management, and staff support within the clinic of work.
5. Participating in the management of all available resources to ensure a safe, efficient, and effective service that is consistent, accessible, and relevant to patients' needs.
