Salary: £52,600-£62,600 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Contract: 12 month FTC

Job Purpose
We’re the Technology & Media Operations Commercial team (around 26 of us) – and we’re responsible for the management of the BBC's largest outsourced strategic technology contracts, and we also provide expert commercial advice across all divisions of the BBC.
We are seeking a Commercial Manager for this FTC role, preferably based in London or Salford.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Managing contracts and suppliers across the commercial lifecycle.
2. Resolving commercial issues, delivering commercial negotiations and driving contractual compliance and resolving disputes.
3. Providing proactive commercial advice to stakeholders across the BBC.
4. Ensuring the BBC attains best value from its commercial relationships and adopts best practice in their management.
5. Working in partnership with technology suppliers to drive initiatives to achieve additional value from our contracts.
6. To ensure the BBC's Strategy and supporting Technology Strategy are effectively reflected in commercial arrangements.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
You’ll demonstrate sound commercial acumen, and with an ability to use initiative and anticipate issues you’ll present practical solutions to deliver high quality output to tight deadlines.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
1. Strong negotiation skills to secure successful outcomes
2. Excellent commercial acumen
3. Experience in effective contract management
4. Effective stakeholder management including across matrixed structures
5. The ability to manage complexity and ambiguity and drive results
Desirable
• Experience in working with technology vendors to achieve outcomes
