The Role:
As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will assist in preparing accounts, supporting senior accountants, and maintaining client relationships. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across different sectors, enhancing your technical knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with UK GAAP.
Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping assignments.
Supporting senior staff in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax computations.
Maintaining client records, including bookkeeping and reconciliations using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Assisting with the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.
Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide support as needed.
Supporting the audit team with client audits, as required.
Working closely with senior accountants to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
Developing and maintaining client relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
Requirements:
Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or AAT qualified (or equivalent).
At least 1-2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (UK GAAP).
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is desirable.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
