We have an exciting opportunity for you at RSK to join our market leading team of 35+ experienced geophysicists and surveyors in our Hemel Hempstead office, delivering high quality survey services throughout the UK.
Within our expanding team, the successful applicant will primarily complete EML service detection and tracing work to PAS128 Level B standards for utility mapping surveys as part of a team and will be able to individually complete service avoidance with EML and GPR for the purposes of boreholes and intrusive site investigations. RSK have an expanding equipment pool of RD8100/8200 series locators, and GSSI and IDS GPR equipment providing our staff with highest quality instrumentation and support to allow them to complete surveys to the required standards. The role will primarily be based in the south-east England but can be UK wide. The role will require travel and staying away from home and can include night shifts.
What you’ll be doing:
* Undertaking site work using EML and cover lifting techniques for utility mapping works to PAS128 standard
* Undertaking site work using GPR and EML techniques for on-site service avoidance in preparation for intrusive site investigation works.
* Site works, processing and drafting of utility mapping projects to PAS128 standards in AutoCAD 2D/3D
* Working as part of a team and training junior members on EML techniques
* Managing ongoing projects
* Liaising with external clients and internal site investigation teams for project scheduling

Qualifications/Certification:
* Experienced Utility Surveyor (2+ years industry experience)
* Competent in use of EML equipment for completion of service detection and PAS128 mapping surveys
* QCF Level 3 and/or higher in Utility Mapping
* Experience in use of GPR equipment for utility detection
* Experience in use of High Precision GPS & Total Stations
* Experience in use of 2D AutoCAD
* Competent IT skills including Excel; 3D CAD would be an advantage
* Must hold a UK driving license
