We partner closely with our Investment Operations Outsourcing (“IOO”) partner, Northern Trust, to deliver these services. Specific functions include: • Pooled Fund Operations: oversight of third-party fund administrators and transfer agencies • Investment Operations: – Derivatives Operations (over-the counter (OTC) derivative trade and collateral management) – Market Operations (cash management, corporate actions, general transactional support) – Regulatory and Trade Reporting (reporting to clients, consultants, and regulators) – Specialist Credit Middle Office (operational support for specialist credit and loan operations) • Asset Valuations: oversees OTC derivative valuations, oversight of outsourced asset valuations and OTC collateral dispute management • Operations Strategy and Counterparty Management: operational support for Insight business initiatives, operational market intelligence gathering, and primary escalation point for the global Insight business for any material counterparty issue • Performance and Client Reporting: performance and attribution, client reports, meeting packs, factsheets, oversight of third-party generation of client reports • Data Management Office: oversees the enhancement of processes, controls, governance, and reporting relating to the sourcing, use and quality of data that supports key business processes • Asset Transitions and Onboarding and Credit Documentation Onboarding: management of the operational elements of client onboarding (changes and transitions) including the documentation and oversight of outsourced transitions services • Guideline Management Group: drafting, review and coding of investment guidelines, and analysis of post trade alerts Position Description: This is a high-profile role working in the Credit Documentation and Onboarding (CDO) responsible for all operational setup, queue management and maintenance in respect of external counterparties relating to bilateral trading agreements, including repo clearing, OTC clearing, ISDA GMRA, FX and MSFTA’s. The team also manages queries and resolves issues as they arise internally, which requires a degree of mental agility to keep the wheels turning. The team is responsible for day-to-day onboarding with banks and other external parties. The CDO team ensure that work continues to be delivered efficiently and to a very high standard, that good working relationships are maintained with external parties such as banks and also with internal teams such as Derivatives Legal, Client Service, Investment Operations and Asset Transitions, along with management of our outsourced back office (Northern Trust) in respect of this business area; the holder of this role will be a key person in keeping these functions working well. Role Responsibilities Be a key team member, working under the direction of the head of team to deliver on the following items: • Ensure that all fund launches have proper trading documentation in place at launch. • Manage the various queues of work in a coherent way to meet the criteria set down by the Onboarding Prioritisation Group, the priorities of different clients, escalating and managing expectations from the start of the process. • Effectively manage a high-volume inbox; ensuring all emails are responded to within SLA. • Ensure that all queries are answered promptly and in full. • Ensure that all CDO processes are followed, and trackers are updated accurately. • Provide a central source of knowledge for Trading documentation & respond to client & internal queries. • Provide clear and accurate instructions to Northern Trust Collateral teams and monitor their delivery to deadlines and/or escalated issues in a timely manner. • Work with the Asset Transitions Team to ensure the trading documentation needs of clients are met. • Liaise with NT/ FX Admin/Front Office Support regarding operational setup parameters and ensure the progress of complete and accurate set up of trading counterparties across our IT architecture. • Manage external relationships with banks (etc.) in respect of this function. • Manage internal relationships in Insight. • Ensure the needs of the Onboarding Prioritisation Group are fully met in terms of information on queues, progress and so on. • Work closely with line manager to ensure the CDO objectives are met. • Design, implement and monitor processes to improve, modernise and digitalise the work this team performs obtaining relevant sign offs from the team manager.
