Due to an increase in children we are looking to appoint a fun, nurturing and dedicated early years practitioner to join our team at our term time only nursery.
A full enhanced DBS is required for the successful candidate.
Early Years Practitoner Job Description
Key Areas of responsibility
To ensure the physical environment of the setting that it is safe, stimulating and welcoming.
To provide appropriate, challenging, and stimulating activities for all children.
Ensure appropriate equipment and materials are set up before the children arrive, indoors and outdoors, and tidied away at the end of every session, and the room is left clean for the next session.
To be able to effectively observe and record for your key children, ensuring that their learning needs are met in appropriate and creative ways in accordance with the EYFS Framework
Partnership working
Ensure the provision meets all child development aspirations by working collaboratively with the Nursery team.
To work as part of the team for the safety, security and well-being of all children, parents/carers and staff accessing the setting.
Offer support to parents and carers within the setting and liaise with other agencies as appropriate.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents/carers that support the children’s learning and development and value parental involvement.
To develop and maintain positive relationships with the nursery team.
General Duties
To contribute to and attend supervision and staff appraisal.
Adhere to the nursery policies and code of practice.

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
