An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teacher with 2 years of experience to join a care provider, supporting children and young people aged between 9 - 19 years. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £32,000 - £36,000 for a 38.5 hours work week.
As a SEN Teacher, you will be delivering engaging and tailored lessons to children and young people with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive a well-rounded education while promoting personal development and independence.
You will be responsible for:
1. Planning and delivering individualised learning programmes to meet the specific needs of students.
2. Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes engagement and progress.
3. Teaching core subjects, including numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, while incorporating life skills into the curriculum.
4. Using a therapeutically informed approach to develop communication and social skills.
5. Monitoring and assessing student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
6. Collaborating with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student's development.
What we are looking for:
1. Previously worked as a SEN Teacher, SEND Teacher, SEMH Teacher, Teacher of SEN, Special Needs Teacher or in a similar role.
2. At least 2 years of experience in SEN teaching.
3. Experience teaching Year 3 to Year 6 and/or SEN students in Years 7 to 11.
4. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.
5. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
6. Valid UK driving licence.
Shifts:
1. Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 4pm
2. Wednesday: 8:30am - 5pm
