This is for a new post for a Consultant Community Paediatrician at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, based at Dingley Child Development Centre.
The successful post holder will have a special interest that complements the needs of the department. Applications from candidates with a neurodisability/epilepsy interest would be particularly welcome.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will share clinical and managerial leadership within the Community Paediatric service with the present consultants. An office base with secretarial and administrative support will be provided.
To provide with colleagues, community paediatric services in an outpatient setting and on-call cover for child protection on-calls.
To provide subspecialty support and undertake specialty clinics in liaison with tertiary centre and relevant networks.

Following the principle of care closer to home, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust offers services from many locations, including King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor, Windsor dialysis unit, West Berkshire Community Hospital, Royal Berkshire Bracknell Healthspace, Townlands Hospital Henley, Dingley Child Development Centre and there are visiting clinics in Wallingford and Wantage.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MRCPCH/MRCP or equivalent
* The applicant is on the specialist register or can provide evidence that they are within 6 months of award of a CCT at the time of interview.
* Full GMC Registration
