What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented person to join our Fund Oversight team in Glasgow.
You will support EPFL’s (Evelyn Partners Fund Solutions Limited) Assessment of Value on its authorized funds to ensure they satisfy all regulatory requirements and agreed service levels.
As Technical Specialist - Assessment of Value, your responsibilities will include among others:
* Ensure the provisions of the EPFL Assessment of Value policy and EPFL Fund Performance policies are met
* To proactivey engage with the EPFL Relationship Management Team, EPFL Sponsors and relevant EPFL Committees (Assessment of Value Committee and Investment Committee) and Original Non-Executive Directors ensuring they are conducted professionally and coached in a timely and effective manner
* To provide relevant input to the Relationship Mentorship & Business Development teams to ensure that all interactions with sponsors, funds and delegates are conducted professionally and their requests are coached in a timely and effective manner
* To ensure that all correspondence and reporting is clear and not misleading, technically accurate and meets the needs of the Committees, sponsors, funds and delegates
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the firms’ regulatory framework and how this applies to your role
* Demonstrate an understanding of the risks to clients within their operation and how these will be mitigate
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should
* Experience mentoring investment portfolios
* Familiar with investment performance and associated terminology, including risk metrics
* Detailed operational knowledge of end-to-end processing within an Asset Servicing, ACD business
* Considerable understanding of the financial services industry and investment markets with a good knowledge of key industry trends and best practice within the Authorised Funds sector
* Experience of operating within the FCA regulatory framework, with a detailed working knowledge and understanding of current legislation and Considerable interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences
Desired
* Authorized funds experience gained within a financial institution·
* Demonstrable knowledge of fund operations and your role of the ACD, with a particular focus on investment and borrowing powers and fund liquidity.
* CISI IOC qualification (or equivalent minimum level 4)
