A Vacancy at Barking Havering and Redbridge Univ Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is a key role to support the Associate Director of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) to deliver key commercial procurement outcomes in accordance with the implementation of the BHRUT vision and strategy for Commercial Procurement, as approved by the Trust Board.
This will drive the Trust to deliver a Best in Class Commercial Procurement Service for BHRUT and Integrated Collaboration across North East London (NEL).
The role will involve managing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Other key duties will include the supporting the Associate Director of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Senior Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical) with the management of strategic suppliers to maximise operational performance, whilst minimising risk and reducing costs in order to improve the overall financial and operational performance of BHRUT.
Support the Head of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical) to maintain the development and ongoing management of clinical procurement and/or non-clinical procurement projects, contract management activities and QCIP plans.
Support the Head of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical) by operating as a fully integrated Associate Business Partner to the Clinical and/or Non-Clinical Divisions, with the aim of balancing contract spend and income alignment as well as exploiting commercial opportunities by managing projects and outputs end to end throughout the commission, procurement and contract management lifecycle.

Support the Head of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical), with the provision of subject matter expert advice to senior clinical and/or non-clinical stakeholders in relation to strategic procurement, contracts management, policy, and procurement governance and assurance.
Support the Head of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical) to strategically and operationally manage and deliver the end to end procurement of major strategic contracts and multi-disciplined procurement projects, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and other NHS partners throughout the commissioning, procurement and contract management lifecycle.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.
We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
