Role Description
This internship position is designated for a Graduate Passivhaus Consultant, with an emphasis on mechanical services, located within our Manchester office.
Working as part of the Passivhaus team, you’ll be supported as you learn. You will gain a breadth of knowledge, from the fundamental building physics to building services, to the broader construction industry, and an understanding of where Passivhaus sits as part of a broader response to net-zero carbon.
We are looking for two recent graduates keen to influence positive outcomes: meeting the needs of clients and society, using design tools to create better buildings, communicating clearly, and collaborating effectively with our clients and others to deliver world-class sustainable buildings.
You are likely to
* have a degree in a relevant field (Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental or Energy) is preferred but not essential.
* have a good understanding of physics and maths
* have good written and verbal communication skills
* be competent in using Microsoft Office
* be organised, proactive, and have good attention to detail
* start work in May 2025
Good to have but not essential
* previous Passivhaus experience or training
* IES VE knowledge
* familiarity with software packages like Revit and SketchUp
* programming languages like Python
* some knowledge of a second language
