Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and dynamic Consultant AHP/Nurse to lead our Stroke Rehabilitation Service. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering excellent patient care, compassionate leadership, and promoting an inclusive working culture.
As Clinical Lead, you will collaborate with senior clinicians, the interdisciplinary team, operational management, and external partners to improve patient outcomes and experiences. You will provide expert clinical leadership, act on concerns, and ensure effective communication. This role also offers opportunities for professional development and a key position within the stroke service’s leadership team.
Applicants must hold a first-level AHP or RN qualification, an independent and supplementary nurse prescribing certificate, and a Master's degree (or be working towards completion). A relevant post-registration qualification, 5 years of rehabilitation experience, and a strong professional portfolio are essential. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively are crucial.
The successful candidate will drive high-quality, evidence-based care, lead audits, support research, and ensure excellent patient outcomes. Flexibility and adaptability to service needs are key.

• An expert and autonomous practitioner in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with stroke or neurological conditions, with significant clinic skills in one rehabilitation profession.
• Work with medical and commissioning colleagues to assist those being cared for outside of the catchment area to be repatriated to the most suitable location.
• Act as a trusted assessor to identify and facilitate transfer of complex rehabilitation patients requiring access to specialist or tertiary rehabilitation centre's.
• Provide clinical leadership and expert professional advice to patients, carers and staff.
• Provide strategic leadership on service development and redesign of innovative local and regional care pathways in collaboration with stakeholders, to optimise patient care and efficiency within the field of stroke and neuro-rehabilitation.
• Undertake clinical audit and research in specialist field, and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
• Contribute to the development of specialist training and education programmes. The majority of the post-holder’s portfolio will be spent in direct autonomous clinical practice having clinical responsibility for a defined cohort of patients.
