Main duties of the job You will be responsible for promoting and facilitating the development of effective governance, risk and assurance across the Care Group. You will provide direct support to the Care Group with the coordination, implementation and delivery of the Care Group You will help us work towards our Clinical Quality Agenda with emphasis on risk and clinical effectiveness. Person Specification Qualifications Essential • Registered Midwife MSc or relevant equivalent experience • Root Cause Analysis/Investigative or PSIF training • SSSA training Skills Essential • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in evidence based care/NICE standards and apply to practice • A knowledge of awareness of patient safety ambitions i.e. SBLCBV2, MatNeoSiP etc • Ability to apply learning into practice, to support changes in clinical practice as a result of learning, complaints and audit Experience Essential • Significant midwifery experience ideally of both acute and community, with sound clinical skills in midwifery and intrapartum care. • Management/Leadership experience • Knowledge of all aspects of midwifery care across all maternity pathways (antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal) and relevant neonatal aspects such as Transitional Care.
