Trinity House Group are delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with this market leading SME, as we support them in the recruitment of Financial Controller, based in Tipton. The business are going through a period of transition, and as such we require a candidate who thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment.
This is a newly created role, with the primary purpose to drive the internal controls and improve the management information. Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a key role, where you will be implementing finance processes and systems.
The Job:
You will be an ambitious, established SME Accountant, with proven experience of building strong relationships within the non-financial stakeholders to take a joined up, proactive approach.
Duties include:
* Completion of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
* Produce weekly KPI reports to give business visibility of margin analysis and production output.
* Cost analysis to identify key variances and trends.
* Compile annual budgets and forecasts ensuring financial delivery of the strategic plan.
* Complete VAT returns and associated HMRC compliance.
* Identify improvements within finance systems and implement new process and procedures for best practice, driving business intelligence and efficiencies.
* Lead the annual audit process.
* Oversee the accuracy of all ledgers including robust balance sheet reconciliations and control.
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified. Qualified by experience will be considered.
* Resilient self-starter who identifies problems and implements solutions.
* Exposure to a managing a small team or looking to step up.
* Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail with a strong methodical approach to creating and reporting data.
* Experience overseeing management accounts, business reporting and financial operations.
* Commercial acumen, ideally within an SME environment.
* Positive and resilient, used to a busy way of working.
* This is an on-site role, with flexible working hours.
In return, you will receive a salary of £75,000 - £85,000, with the opportunity to work with a market-leading, growing brand with a positive and down-to-earth culture.
