We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and organised SENDCo to join our school community and support all our pupils to achieve their best.
This is a part-time role with non-class based teaching responsibilities.
Whether you are an experienced SENDCo or an aspiring middle leader, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting Pupils: Work with children who have special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) to ensure they have the best opportunities to learn and succeed. This role includes intervention and small group teaching. QTS is required.
2. Providing Support: Lead and guide teachers and staff in supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom, ensuring every child’s needs are met.
3. Monitoring Progress: Keep track of children’s progress; reviewing individual plans, adjusting and supporting with resources.
4. Working with Families: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing advice and support to help them understand their child’s needs.
5. Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, including the Senior Leadership Team, teachers, teaching assistants, and external professionals, to support all students.
6. Administrative: Undertake necessary administrative tasks related to SEND.

3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
4. Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, policies, procedures, statutory responsibilities and best practices in education.
5. A commitment to inclusivity and ensuring all children have equal opportunities to thrive.
6. NASENCO / NPQ for SENCO or the commitment to completing the course.
