Position:
An opportunity has arisen for 2 permanent and 1 bank Porter based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
The Corporate Support Services is looking for a candidate to join the Portering Dept at Ayr Hospital providing portering, meals, security, grounds, and driving services.
A flexible approach to both hours and shift patterns and hospital location is essential. Previous experience would be advantageous, but full training will be given.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You are required to be numerate, literate, and practical and have the ability to operate a wide range of vehicles and mechanical & moving aids.
The below knowledge and experience is essential for this role:
* Clean Driving License
* Good communication and customer care skills
* Ability to use own initiative to anticipate and make appropriate decisions
* Expected to work with minimal supervision
* Flexible approach to work and working hours
Hours:
Post 1: 37 hours per week over a 2 week rota
Week 1: Mon/Tue/Fri 0900-2000, Sat 1130-1900, Sun 1100-1900
Week 2: 0900-2000 Wed/Thur, 0900-1930 Fri
Post 2: 15 hours Mon 0900-1700, Fri 1000-1800
Post 3: Bank (as and when required)
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A clean, valid driving licence is essential for this role and you must provide evidence of this.
