Nano Fibre UK are looking for a Stores Assistant for the Kirton - Boston area, who will also be required to travel across the wider area to help support us as we scale.
We are a fast-growing company committed to offering the best service to our customers from our fibre broadband engineers in the region.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual to take ownership of the stores and support the operations team, assisting our fibre engineers with their requirements and managing the stores.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced role and working both alone and as part of a team. If you are customer-focused and have experience working with stock, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Picking and stocking field team vans on a daily and weekly basis to ensure that all install requirements are met.
* Picking and delivering stock to engineers to ensure that a sufficient supply of stock is available for field staff.
* Taking delivery of stock on a daily basis from suppliers.
* Conducting stock counts on a daily basis to ensure stock levels and to prevent stock loss.
* Ensuring the warehouse is ordered, clean, and tidy on a daily basis.
* Checking stock to ensure ladders and harnesses are fit for purpose and comply with HSE regulations.
* Collecting stock from regional warehouses or suppliers where necessary.
* Calibrating tools such as GDU to ensure accuracy of tools issued to field staff.
* Issuing replacement tools, uniforms, etc., to field staff.
* Having experience and a proven track record working in a stock environment.
* Demonstrating effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills, a focus on teamwork, and excellent customer service.
* Possessing good logical skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a willingness to find the best customer solutions possible.
* Being prepared to travel as Nano covers different areas of the country.
* Having a valid UK driver's license as you will be delivering stock around your area.
* Being able to work irregular hours and overtime to achieve our customer service targets when required.
* Being medically fit and able to carry out a physical job.
