Financial Controller Location: Ampthill Job Type: Full time Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £65,000 -£80,000 per annum The Company and Group Global Ridgeway Management Limited was formed in 2012 as an administrative, accounting and back office service company providing global support to a number of financial service companies owned by the family office of an overseas entrepreneur. The financial services companies included insurance companies, reinsurance companies, insurance/reinsurance brokers primarily located in Africa but with global business in the US, Asia, Middle East and Africa. The Role • Annual financial statements production and managing audit process • Monthly management accounts for various entities • Cash flow reports for the Global Group • Annual budget and 5 year projections • Managing the credit rating process with 2 rating agencies • Treasury management across several countries, payment management • Global reporting pack for the Family Office • Taxation – VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax for the UK Group • Supervision of UK based finance team and development thereof • Relationship management across different departments, countries, languages • Credit control supervision across the Group with regular Zoom calls • New accounting standards review and implementation across the Group, ensuring consistency and compliance. • Membership of Audit, Finance and Investments Committee • Systems management and development • New systems implementation and integration into the existing system architecture • Reporting pack development and automation • New investment assessment and recommendation • New company set up – infrastructure, staffing, systems, procedures, compliance, corporate governance The Requirements • Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA with at least 5 years post qualified experience • Financial services experience preferable (IFRS17) • Accounting systems experience – SAGE preferably • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (macro level preferred) • Self-starter • Strong communication skills and clarity – as the person will be dealing with some countries where English is not the first language. • Staff management experience • Some foreign travel will be required Benefits • Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA with at least 5 years post qualified experience • company pension contribution 5% salary • 4x salary life cover • Private healthcare for employee, spouse and dependent children • Annual bonus. • You many have had experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant You may also have experience in the following: Finance Director, Group Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Chartered Accountant, Financial Reporting Manager, Treasury Manager, Corporate Finance Manager, IFRS Specialist, Risk and Compliance Manager, Investment Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, Audit & Compliance Lead, Finance Business Partner, Financial Strategy Consultant, Senior Management Accountant, Regulatory Reporting Manager, Tax & Treasury Specialist, Global Finance Manager, CFO Support Analyst, Financial Systems Manager, etc. REF-(Apply online only)
