We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Fleet Engineering Manager to join us at Stagecoach Rugby where we operate a fleet of around 38 buses. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to get into management or anyone who just fancies a change to support the diverse and widespread engineering operation within a progressive organisation. Your contribution could truly drive our business forward.
What you’ll do:
* You will be the first line of contact for our dynamic team of engineers within the depot, running the workshop daily and ensuring all maintenance tasks are carried out and completed to the highest standard.
* You will oversee our workshop team and take the lead on daily running of the garage.
* This role will require you to liaise with all departments within the company ensuring strong communication is always kept, delegating tasks to our onsite vehicle presentation team and allocating specific tasks to team members.
* Alongside this, you will be working alongside our operational team to ensure that PVR is always met.
* We have a variety of workforce within the depot, your leadership will be a key part of driving our team to strive for continuous high standards, deliver high efficiency and quality for our service users within the Midlands.
* Your enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail will be needed to encourage, develop and support the growth of our up-and-coming engineers, all the way to our most experienced, as we know teamwork and professionalism is most important to progress our team.
What we need from you:
You’ll have an excellent track record of high-quality fleet maintenance with the ability to lead a team to deliver a safe and cost-effective programme of preventative maintenance and repair. You’ll have excellent knowledge of health & safety, environmental and employment legislation and be a good communicator, with a customer focused and commercially astute outlook.
