Your new school:
This school located in Bristol is in search of an empathetic individual to join their staff as a Teaching Assistant in their SEN department from January. This BS5 school prides itself on its ability to make sure that each child reaches their potential both academically and developmentally. It is located along a public bus route and has a car park on site.
Your new role:
This role will take place in the classroom, working in the mornings with a young individual who has autism and autistic needs. You will be this child’s key person as they learn to develop their skills and confidence in the classroom alongside their peers. Your role will consist of working with this child on their academic and developmental skills, and taking them outside the classroom environment to focus on concentration and reviewing the content that has been taught in the classroom in their own special way.
Requirements to succeed in your new role:
1. Teaching Assistant experience within the last two years
2. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
3. Two working references from your most recent jobs that apply relevance to the position
4. Work with young children was required
5. Enhanced DBS on the update service
